The Beast Of The Flesh

The Beast Of The Flesh

God named it Satan, while man calls it ego. We in His League of True Love call it, the carnal, instinctual, egoistic beast of the flesh that makes YOU your own worst enemy and stains (marks) your character, with its characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and/or fear for survival.

Unfortunately for us, when you take the path of finding true love, you not only have to know WHAT it is, but also WHAT it's not and as part of that process for me, my wife committed adultery.

After I left her, she ran around from pillar to post and going through a lot of drama, looking for another husband. She said to me, "I'm sick of people throwing everything back in my face!"

My response was, "Well, you know the solution for that, don't you? Stop putting your face in front of theirs."

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness (virtuousness) with lawlessness (unvirtuousness)? And what communion has light with darkness?2 Corinthians 6:14

I know the man she was referring to in particular and told her, "Nobody can change your nature, but you! And even then, it's not so much you that changes your nature, but the influence of the nature (life) that surrounds and influences you, and how and when you react or respond to it. Of course he's throwing crap back at you, because his ego is so high and mighty, and its characteristic pride is so strong in presence and density, it's a very thick, stone wall of obstinacy, defiance and stubbornness. It's not in his nature to change, because while he likes to think of himself as a strong man, he hasn't got it in him to change for his own sake and the highest good (virtue) of all."

She said, "What's his problem? I go out of my way for him! It's not right, how he talks and behaves toward me!"

What could I say? I said (though it went in one ear and out the other), "We all know deep down in our heart of hearts (soul) that TRUE love is always faithful, loyal, considerate, kind, compassionate, forgiving, etc. That is to say, absolutely virtuous, and he doesn't say or do the right (virtuous) thing, because the characteristics of true love's divine nature are not in his character. So, he has no TRUE love, for himself let alone anyone else. It's not in his nature and you ought to know that where there is no virtue, there is no true love, for the virtues are the characteristics of its divine nature."

First, you want to know who you are. Then, when you get over your self, that is, the carnal, instinctual, egoistic nature of your flesh and its characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and fear for survival, and this uncivilized (unvirtuous) world that's sprung from the carnal, instinctual, egoistic (sinful) nature of mankind at large, then you begin to find the one & only, true & perfect way of life in the eternal, EGOLESS civilization of God's divine nature and characteristics of absolute, undying, true love and majestic virtuousness, and that journey takes you through many trials, tribulations, revelations, visions and supernatural encounters, and leads you to the true nature and character of your soul, your heart of heart's, which is the character of the absolutely perfect gentleman or gentlewoman of true love, a saint by any other name, who's every thought comes from the divine nature of absolute, undying, true love and is expressed in your every word and deed, with TRUE virtuousness, that is to say, with ABSOLUTE honesty, integrity, humility, faithfulness, dignity, graciousness, courtesy, etc.

Man gathers knowledge. Knowledge needs understanding to grow into wisdom (common sense) and wisdom leads to the truth, the way and the life (true way of life), that's within you, deep, deep down in your heart of heart's (soul), that you are not consciously aware of, but subconsciously dream of becoming. The perfect you, you catch glimpses of through the glass darkly.

Can you possibly imagine the civilization that would come into existence, if everyone simply got over themselves and LIVED the truth, the way and the life (true way of life), with/in/for absolute, undying, true love, with all their heart, mind, body and soul (absolutely), according to true love's CHaracteRISTic, majestic holiness, peacefulness, gracefulness and graciousness, with absolute equality, equanimity, humility, cooperativeness and joy, without a care in the world, like little children-at-heart, though far from childish?

Hmmm... Heavenly bliss... beyond the shadow of any doubt and everyone's wildest imagination.

Crying shame really, that in the fulfillment of scripture (Luke 14:16-24), everyone with one accord, instinctively and egoistically, resists and turns away from (ignores) God's one & ONLY, true & perfect will for every living soul, He gave me to deliver as an invitation on His behalf, TO DO just that! Oh dear, how sad, never mind... There's just no getting past the stone wall of pride and since the honest to God truth hurts, it bounces off that stone wall of the ego's self-defense and falls on deaf ears. Only you can take down that wall, nobody else can do it for you, with humility, commitment, consideration, courage, courtesy, dignity, flexibility, tolerance, honesty, honor and integrity, etc. In other words, not by talking about it, but by applying the virtuous characteristics (fruits) of true love's divine nature, in your life and everything you say and do, for talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words, and you will never be capable of change, if you're not ready, willing and ABLE to commit to it and endure its process with humility and perseverance, etc.!

To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness (virtuousness) of our God and Savior Jesus Christ: Grace (gracefulness & graciousness) and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God (absolute love) and of Jesus our Lord (role model), as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who CALLED US BY GLORY AND VIRTUE, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that THROUGH THESE you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (and other characteristics of the carnal, instinctual, egoistic [sinful] nature of the flesh).2 Peter 1:1-4

Let those who have the ear to hear and eye to see beyond their own little, carnal, instinctual, egoistic (self-centered & self-righteous) world of self, get the bigger picture.

FLEXIBILITY
lamb

passive lamb-like characteristic of true love's divine nature

Flexibility is being open to change. You consider the ideas and feelings of others and don't insist on your own way. Flexibility enables you to be creative and discover new ways to get things done. You easily drop things that become a hindrance and adopt new ones. Flexibility helps you to keep changing for the better.

Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Challenge yourself to be aware of any and all opportunities to practice and apply flexibility in your life this week, and the times you should have, but didn't because of the characteristic pride, vanity, envy, selfishness, ambition, lust, greed, desire for creature comfort and/or fear for survival of the carnal, instinctual, egoistic (self-centered) nature of your flesh.
