The Path To Heaven Is Paved With Broken Hearts

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.1 John 4:8
It's no coincidence that true love is so hard to find. To know God, is to know true love, but how can we know true love, without experiencing it?
Sadly, the way the vast majority of us come to know it, is not by experiencing it, but by experiencing what it's not, because as the scripture says, "not one is righteous". Nobody is truly virtuous, according to the divine characteristics of true love.
True love isn't a warm, fuzzy feeling or attraction to another person. It's an overwhelming sensation and God's true love is supernatural and shines with absolute virtue, and is so powerful, it can't be contained and liteerally sweeps you off your feet.
True love is absolutely faithful, loyal, considerate, compassionate, truthful, forgiving, courteous, patient, peaceful, gracious, etc., and when you truly find it in your heart, you know you don't really need anyone else to "make" you feel it.
You can memorise every scripture in the book and think you've solved all the mysteries of it, but very, very few have solved the greatest mystery of all, God's divine nature of absolute, true love, which is the plot to the whole story.
To resolve that mystery, you must sacrifice everything and walk the narrow path.
So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.Luke 14:33
There is only one, true desire in every human heart, in their heart of hearts, no matter how deeply buried and locked away it might be, and that is to be filled with overflowing, abundant, absolute love, peace, grace, wisdom and joy, and there is only one, true will of the one, true Great Omniscient Deity of absolute, true love, which is to fill every heart with overflowing, abundant, absolute love, peace, grace, wisdom and joy.
But to do that, He has to cleanse the heart of everything else, that stands in the way, every spot of pride, vanity, selfish ambition, lust, desire for creature comforts and fear for survival, and every blemish of worldly cares, concerns, desires, hopes and dreams, and that can be a heartwrenching experience, through many trials and tribulations.
"We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God."Acts 14:22

DETACHMENT
lion-like characteristic
Detachment is not allowing your instincts control you. Instead of just reacting, with detachment you are free to choose how you will act. You use thinking and feeling together, so you can make wise decisions with humility and without desire or fear.
